Abstract
The front-to-rear factor of resonant waveguide antenna is optimized in a wide frequency band by means of statement and solving the appropriate synthesis problem. The variational statement of the problem allows to take into account the requirements to the front-to-rear factor in the operating frequency band as well as outside of this band. The direct optimization of the used functionals is carried out by the modified coordinate descent method. The results of numerical modeling are shown
