Abstract :
In this paper, using cumulant in wideband array processing problems via array interpolation is proposed. In classical array interpolation (CAI) and wiener array interpolation (WAI) before estimating the DOAs, we need to estimate noise covariance matrix for prewhitening, otherwise these methods do not perform well. But if the covariance of the real sensors is computed via the use of cumulant in sufficient snapshots and then the coherent signal processing like array interpolation is used, we will not require to estimate noise covariance and we will obtain better estimation of DOAs. In this method, we do not need prewhitening before DOA estimation.
