Abstract :
In this paper, a frequency reconfigurable circular patch antenna is presented. The proposed antenna is consisted of a radiating circular patch with a slot underneath the circular patch. Three switches are positioned in the slot thus produces six reconfigurable frequency bands. At the higher frequencies, directional radiation patterns are produced while at the lower frequencies, the radiation pattern is gradually changed to omni directional pattern. Simulated results are used to demonstrate the performance of the antenna. The simulated return losses, together with the radiation patterns, are presented.
