Abstract
The new experimental method for discriminating between polarization and real charges in polymeric electrets was suggested. It is based on measurements of local electrical field E[x,T(t)] using the step electroacoustic method (SEA) and total current density JTSD[T(t)] during thermally stimulated discharge of the electret sample. The above method, named shortly E-j, was applied for investigation of corona charged PET electrets.
