Abstract
The VBLAST architecture has been proposed as an extremely spectral efficient tool for wireless communications. However, owing to the error propagation, the performance of VBLAST is constrained by the accuracy of the symbols recovered in the previous layer when the traditional detection successive interference cancellation (SIC) algorithm is applied. In this paper, we present a new group iterative receiver algorithm based on QR decomposition to mitigating the error propagation of VBLAST. For enhancing the performance of the first detected group signal, the iterative detection is applied. The proposed algorithm achieves good performance compared to standard ZF-VBLAST with reduced computational complexity.
