Abstract :
Channel estimation is crucial for the performance of OFDM systems. In this paper, at first we describe the LS channel estimator based on transform domain processing and an iterative algorithm to improve the performance of channel estimator. Both of them could remove the additive Gaussian noise in the LS channel estimate effectively. Then we initially apply this iterative algorithm to the introduced transform-domain based LS channel estimator. We also introduce a decision-directed process to the channel estimator to further improve the estimation accuracy. Simulation results show that the new estimator performs better than the former ones.
