  • Abstract
Since the signature of the CIPM MRA in 1999, it has made a major impact on the day to day work of NMIs and it has been said that the MRA has made the most substantial impact on the work of NMI metrologists since the signing of the Metre Convention itself in 1875. It is, indeed, almost impossible now to imagine the world of metrology without the CIPM MRA.The benefits are already felt in the metrology community and an increasing number of case studies are showing scientific as well as commercial benefits. This plenary address focuses on the successes, how we have all adapted the original MRA to meet changing needs, and on our plans for the future.
