Abstract :
The transmission system plays an essential role in the new deregulated scenario. Aspects such as planning are relevant in terms of market opportunities. The role of the State and the agents that participate in the market sharply influence investment decision making. A study of the expansion of the Chilean Central Interconnected System (SIC) is reported, based on cooperative game theory, using a static expansion model, considering various hydrology scenarios. The main results resulting from this methodology are the expanded transmission system and the agents involved in the expansion, together with the benefits obtained by each one of them in the agreed expansion. The results obtained for two different wheeling systems are presented: postage stamp and system usage modes.
