Abstract :
Results of measurements of the received signal power in the shadow of vehicles in the 900 MHz band are reported. Rather than the smooth attenuation expected from diffraction as the mobile moves into the shadow, the results exhibit fast fading following approximately Rayleigh statistics, indicating that multipath interference is important and hence system outage may be expected
