Abstract :
Two novel multi-band PIFA (planar inverted-F) antennas are presented, showing simulated modal current distributions and measured input impedance. All major wireless communications bands have been included and measurements show the radiation patterns to have good H-plane omni-directionality at all bands. Possible applications for the antenna are in passive indoor repeater stations for personal communications or for vehicle mounting for telematics.
