Abstract :
A novel multi arc slot microstrip patch antenna loaded with a shorting post is presented. By embedding four pairs of arc shape slots, dual-band operation centered at 2.441 GHz and 5.2 GHz has been obtained. The proposed antenna is of high gain 6.8 dBi (2.441 GHz) and 5.8 dBi (5.2 GHz), and its impedance bandwidth defined at VSWR<=2 can meet the requirement of WLAN.
