Abstract :
In this paper, we determine the channel capacity of a 60 GHz wireless communications system for the CM1 and CM2 channel models defined by the IEEE 802.15.3c Task Group. Two transmitter (Tx) and receiver (Rx) antenna models are considered. It is shown that the capacity in channel CM1 is greater than that in channel CM2. In addition, changing the half power beam width (HPBW) of the Rx antenna can improve the channel capacity.
