Abstract
Typically, applications are built only after the database schema is available. To enable the application designer/programmer with the tools necessary to forge ahead without having to wait for the data schema definition, a change from traditional methodologies must take place. The paper proposes an alternative design methodology intended to bring applications on-line as soon as possible. The author looks at using Martin´s subject databases and ties it together with Inmon´s paradigm for decision support systems used in a distributed data system
