Abstract
A vector finite element method for electrodynamics problems is described. In spite of high universality and effectiveness the method suffers from slow convergence and high solution time. So a number of algorithms intended to cure these disadvantages are described, among them potential formulation of basic equation, adaptive meshers, higher order basis functions, orthogonalization, fast frequency sweep, parallel computations and some other algorithms are described
