Abstract
Earth science clearing house (ECHO) developed by NASA, provides access to metadata catalogs from distributed data centers. Users can search, access, and order metadata and data through this system. ECHO also provides data services. Earth science data and metadata is also stored in other systems such as storage resource broker (SRB) outside NASA. A prototype client was developed to demonstrate interoperability between ECHO and SRB. Through this client users are able to search metadata from both these systems.
