Abstract :
This paper proposes an improved channel estimation method based on B. Steiner low cost channel estimator used in TD-SCDMA (time division-synchronous code division multiple access) cellular mobile radio systems known as third-generation mobile system. Our method introduces a threshold filter combining DOA information of adaptive antennas, which can significantly reduce the interference resulting from B. Steiner´s channel estimation approach. The simulation demonstrates that the exploitation of threshold filter with the knowledge of the direction can lead to significant system performance enhancement by 3.5 dB.
