Abstract
In this paper, by using the FDTD method combining with the even-odd mode theory, the distribution of the even- and odd-mode voltages on the inner slots corrugated CPW bend and the bend with hole array are obtained. The simulated results show that for the even-mode voltage, the wave velocity is slowed down in the corrugation slot, but is speeded up in the slot with hole array. For the odd-mode voltage, the magnitude of the odd-mode voltage decreases both in the corrugation and hole array structures. Therefore, the effectiveness of the velocity compensated CPW bends on the odd mode suppression is validated from the perspective of even-odd mode theory.
