Abstract :
In this paper, a 1.5 mW, 1.7 GHz BAW oscillator with a multi-bit sigma-delta DAC based fine frequency tuning to achieve a frequency resolution of about 50 mHz or 0.03 ppb over a tuning range of 6.4 MHz is presented. The oscillator achieves a phase noise of -97 dBc/Hz at an offset of 10 kHz.
