Abstract
The domain decomposition method (DDM) is an efficient method for analyzing electrically large and complicated electromagnetic problems. The iterative DDM algorithm based on the Schwarz alternating method has been widely used for static electromagnetic problem. To generate a convergent iterative DDM algorithm, an absorbing FBC should be set on the FB to ensure the propagation of waves between adjacent subdomains. An absorbing FBC including higher order modes has been presented, and been used to generate an iterative DDM algorithm for analyzing waveguide problems successfully. In the paper, the relaxed algorithm is introduced to improve the iterative convergence efficiently, and the fuzzy controller as adaptive procedures is used to choose the optimal relaxation factor. As the example, a rectangular waveguide with E-plane discontinuity is analyzed. The numerical results are given to illustrate its efficiency.
