Abstract :
The paper makes a brief overview of current status and the future of the BTRON subproject and the TRON Human-Machine interface Subproject, both subprojects of TRON. In particular, it reports research and development results in the three years from 1994 to 1996. BTRON is just the computer architecture of personal computers or workstations in TRON-concept computers. It provides several novel features as follows. First, it contains a hypertext file system called the Real Object/Virtual Object system. Additionally, the BTRON subproject has been emphasizing the importance of multilingual processing environments and accessibility for the physically challenged
