Abstract :
Software defined radio (SDR) is the future trend for mobile communication design. As the hardware merges into software gradually in communication system. A SDR is supposed to facilitate high speed multimedia application for future mobile standards. Adaptive modem forms an integral part of SDR system with robust and high data rate capability. In this paper we have analyzed adaptive modulation scheme and their performance in changing channel condition. The modulation scheme studied and analyzed for adaptive modem are BPSK, QPSK 16QAM 64 QAM. We have simulated a simplex communication for transmitting images consisting of adaptive modulation scheme to study the effect of adaptive modulation on system transmitting image. The analysis and implementation of the proposed system is done using MATLAB7 simulation tool.
