Abstract :
Most of current queue management schemes cannot guarantee the quality of service (QoS) in time-delay networks. To overcome the negative influence caused by round trip time (RTT), a novel congestion control scheme, named RSP, is proposed for queue management in time-delay networks. Specifically, Smith predictor is employed to compensate for the RTT delay, and internal model control is used to design an executable PI controller for improved robustness. Simulation results demonstrate that RSP is suitable for time-delay networks and outperforms many well-known queue management schemes in terms of stability and robustness.
