Abstract :
A 4-element CPW-fed linear antenna array for UWB applications is proposed. The feeding network is integrated on the same substrate of the antenna elements. Tapered CPW feed line is used to get a fairly steady performance of impedance transfer in the whole UWB frequency band. The directivity of the array is enhanced in comparison with that of antenna element, especially in the H plane. The gain of the array can arrive at 7 dB to 11.5 dB. The increase of the mutual coupling between neighbored feeding lines at high frequency cause the decrease of the gain.
