Abstract
A PLL based phase conjugating circuit is presented, used in conjugation with a practical 6 element antenna array. This produced a highly versatile antenna array capable of operating as (1) a D.C. programmable phased transmit array, (2) a retrodirective array, and (3) adaptive IF self tracking receiver. Experimental evidence for each of the three nodes of operation are presented and show (a) +/- 80 degrees of continuous beam steer, under dc control, (b) full 360° retrodirective action, (c) full 360° maximally combining receive only action.
