Abstract
A novel low-profile planar monopole antenna suitable for triple band operation of mobile phones has been proposed. A prototype is constructed based on the design. And the antenna occupies a small area of 13 x 23 mm2. The obtained bandwidths meet the bandwidth requirements of the GSM, DCS, PCS and UMTS cellular systems.
