Abstract
This paper presents a track and hold amplifier (THA) in 0.25¿m BiCMOS technology. By using a cascode amplifier as input stage, we enhance the linearity of the THA input buffer for the input signal of 2 Vpp. The THA achieves 7.58 effective bits at 10 GHz of sampling rate with a 3GHz 2Vpp input signal. This is about three bits more than currently reported 10 GS/s THAs at this wide signal swing.
