Abstract :
In this paper, an improved differential pulse position modulation (IDPPM) for optical wireless communications is presented. The soft-decision decoding technique for it is discussed. Compared with OOK, PPM, and DPPM, IDPPM achieved better compromise between bandwidth and power requirement. Our results show the slot error rate of system being improved by Soft-decision decoding technique of IDPPM.
