Abstract :
Three-section DFB/DBR lasers with a pumped DFB center section and two unpumped DBR end-sections have demonstrated stable single longitudinal mode operation at six times threshold and low threshold current. A schematic diagram and threshold analysis of the DFB/DBR laser is presented
