Abstract :
In this paper, we study the influence of the transmission channel nonlinearity on equalization. We consider here a satellite communication channel modeled by a cascade of two linear filters separated by zero memory polynomial nonlinearity. Using a new algebraic framework, issued from the theory of nonlinear system, we analyze first the invertibility of the nonlinear transmission channel. We show that this operation is possible except in some domain of singularity that can be determined. In this case, the equalization will be not possible even by a nonlinear equalizer. Finally, we study the influence of the zero memory nonlinearity parameters on the stability of the transmission channel inverse
