Abstract
Capacity of a DS/CDMA system is specified according to the performance of the acquisition system. For example, the performance can be defined as the accessibility to a specified amount in acquisition. This paper presents a new scheme of PN code acquisition which has used a FIR adaptive filter and definitely performs better than earlier designs of the matched filter. It has been shown that this design can have similar capacity to what is obtained from bit error rate criteria.
