Abstract :
The article examines models of multimedia data and analyses their application to the client/server architecture, an increasingly widespread type of distributed system. Models of multimedia data, especially those based on time intervals, are to the forefront. The principles of the client/server architecture are then presented and the application to it of the examined models is analysed
