Abstract
A new calculation method of the receiving mutual impedances that has taken the scattering effect from other antenna elements into consideration has been proposed. Numerical examples of DOA estimations show that using the receiving mutual impedance calculated based on the new method for decoupling, better accuracies for DOA would be resulted which indicates that the undesired MC effect is better compensated. Studies of using the proposed method to characterize the MC effect of antenna array with different omni-directional sensors are opened for further investigations.
