            Abstract : 
The TE scattering characteristics of the mushroom-type EBG structures in parallel plate waveguide was studied using Fourier transform and mode-matching techniques. The theoretical model was expressed in a fast convergent series. This model is useful for the analysis and design of mushroom-type EBG structures to reduce EMI problems.
