Coaxial multiplexer for high accuracy capacitance measurements

To automate the calibration of capacitance standards, an eight channel coaxial multiplexer has been developed to be used with a widely used commercial capacitance bridge. The use of the multiplexer doesn´t worsen the intrinsic uncertainty of the bridge for capacitors of 10 pF and above. For a 1 pF standard, the use of the multiplexer affect the uncertainty only at frequencies higher than 2 kHz.
