Abstract :
We propose a method for accurate measurement and generation of mid-infrared optical frequencies. The method is based on a new continuous-wave optical parametric oscillator (cw OPO), which allows a phase coherent link between the mid-infrared region and a near-infrared femtosecond frequency comb. The OPO is tunable from 2.7 to 3.4 μm.
