Abstract :
Channel estimation is one of the most critical blocks in the design of MIMO-OFDM systems for coherent detection and decoding. Based on SUI correlated channel, we propose a novel channel estimation algorithm for IEEE 802.11n system. The minimum mean square error of the proposed scheme is derived. Consider the simulated BER for the maximum Doppler frequency fd = 10 Hz . The simulated results showed that the use of the proposed algorithm significantly improves on the BER performance. At SNR = 10 dB, the BER result is 9 dB better than that obtained by using the conventional LS scheme when 4-QAM is applied. And it can achieve 8.5 dB BER improvement over the same channel when BPSK is applied.
