Abstract :
The modelling of an electromagnetic field coupling to electronic equipment in a mode stirred chamber is studied from a statistical point of view. A standard a priori model for a random field is compared to computations using modal expansions. A "physical optics" approximation is introduced which allows for analytical computation of a modal expansion accounting for the presence of a mode stirrer
