Abstract
10 Gb/s 200 m MMF (multimode fiber) system is realized by WDM without special launching techniques. 5 Gb/s 200 m single channel MMF transmissions are realized by depressing high order modes. FP laser can be used to transmit 2.5G b/s over 500 m MMF by offset launching. Due to the speed limit (<4 Gb/s) of FP lasers, single channel 10 Gb/s transmission can only be achieved with DFB lasers
