Abstract :
This paper presents the thin slit diffraction in two-dimensional metamaterials, using both composite right/left-handed (CRLH) and dual composite right/left-handed (d-CRLH) models. As shown, for a physically realizable choice of material parameters, both CRLH and d-CRLH metamaterials show strong discrimination of temporal input frequencies in regimes where group velocity is small.
