            Abstract : 
We present a model which shows that a data rate of 10-kbps to LEO is possible with a 4 watt transmitter. Furthermore, we have presented for the first time the use of circular polarization keying for free-space optical communications and the “Lightwire” concept that allows full-duplex communications using a single optical beam
