Abstract :
SIP is a powerful and useful signaling protocol supporting mobility multimedia services, however it is susceptible to various attacks due to its inherent weaknesses and vulnerability. In this paper, the threats and security mechanisms are analyzed and classified into different types. We establish a model of SIP network based on colored Petri net for the security issues. Through the simulation result, the detailed behaviors of SIP protocol are present, which is helpful to analyzing the threats and protecting the system.
