Abstract :
This paper presents a waveguide formed by a defect channel in a honeycomb lattice photonic crystal sandwiched between two metallic plates. It is shown that the bandgap of a honeycomb lattice is substantially wider than both square and triangular lattices for easily realizable configurations.
