Abstract :
Approximately double directional propagation measurement was performed for a millimeter wave WPAN. It was shown that even is a direct wave is not received, the delay spread can be made small (almost equal to the case of the direct component being received) if both the direction of the antenna and the antenna beam width are adjusted properly. In actual system designs, methods such as beam forming of the antenna can be used for countering the shadowing of a direct wave.
