Abstract :
In this paper, a triangle-shaped defected ground structure for coplanar waveguide and its modified structure with slots are proposed. The effect of variable structure geometric dimensions to its RF performance and equivalent circuit elements are studied. The modification is adding slots on the bottom of triangle-shaped DGS, which increases the path of current (inductance) and the area of capacitance simultaneously. Finally, a band stop filter cascaded with four unit cells, which are 8-slot triangle-shaped CPW DGS, is fabricated and measured for comparison with the designed characteristics.
