Abstract
In some networked control systems (NCSs), the core computer roles the whole system, processes and schedules all the data transferred from the network nodes. Control networks construct the infrastructures of the NCSs. And, the working efficiency of the network communication is the key element of the entire system. The paper presents a novel media access control (MAC) approach with variable priority token passing based quality of service (QoS), in order to deal with the MAC issues in the NCSs. The mathematical analysis and experiments suggested that the presented approach has more efficiency and advantages than the CSMACD and standard token-passing manners.
