Abstract :
In this study, the clock pulse shaping circuit using the resonance phenomena of a piezoelectric transformer is proposed. It is shown that the proposed filter is the band pass filter, and is effective to suppress harmonic distortion of clock pulse and to reduce the noise induced on the clock pulse. In this paper, a circuit model of a hybrid band pass filter is proposed and the basic performance of the proposed filter applying to the pulse shaping circuit is discussed. It is concluded that the proposed pulse shaping circuit has high frequency selectivity and high-Q for clock frequency, and has high reduction for undesired frequency components, by means of mechanical characteristics of piezoelectric transformer
