Abstract :
RTEMS uses the heap manager, the partition manager and the region manager to manage memory. A partition is a physically contiguous memory area divided into fixed-size buffers that can be dynamically allocated and deal located. A region provides facilities to dynamically allocate and free memory in variable sized units. RTEMS memory management is insecure because the data structure of managing memory is stored in the allocated block and the unallocated block. This paper proposes a method to manage the memory with the bitmap and the aid bitmap which will make allocating and deallocating memory simple, and enhance safety and reliability of memory.
