Abstract :
In this paper, the emergent behavior of artificial ant colony in gray-scale images is studied. The perceptual graph is proposed to represent the emergent behavior pattern of the evolving ant colony in images. Based on the perceptual graph, image edge feature is efficiently extracted with the emergent behavior pattern of the ant colony. The experimental results indicate the effective and promising application of artificial ant colony in image feature extraction tasks.
