Abstract
A novel type single-stage inverter is proposed in this paper. Details on operation principle, control strategy and circuit design of the new single-stage inverter are presented below. The single-stage inverter is constituted of two absolutely same bi-directional DC-DC Buck converters which get high frequency electrical isolation. The converters´ input and output are individually in parallel and in series. Then a prototype based on two-transistor forward converter is presented. The voltage stress of the switches decreased significantly because of the two-transistor forward topology. The conduction losses can be reduced by load current´s flowing through the switches at the secondary sides. Verified by the simulation and the experimental results, the single-stage inverter has the advantages of compact topology, bi-directional power flow, strong load adapting ability, etc. The feasibility of this type of inverters is also confirmed.
