Abstract :
An eight-pole high temperature superconducting (HTS) microstrip bandpass filter with 1.3% bandwidth at 600 MHz UHF band for a radio astronomy front end is presented. Effective efforts have been made to eliminate the discrepancies between measured and computed responses in the design and packaging. The untuned measurement results of this filter at 30 K show a maximum insertion loss 0.22 dB, a minimum passband return loss 15 dB, and minimum out-of-band rejection 70 dB.
